About Me

My photo
I'm in my twenties thinking "Um, now what?", which isn't as bad as it seems. Some days i'm the funniest person there is, the next i'll be the best listener, and then the next, the sleepiest person i know. One day, i'll have it figured out. For now, i am just making sure i pay my bills on time, and enjoy it for what its worth. (according to amex, $3000 bucks!)

how rude!

my my my. i think this women puts the kill in kill joy. we start off our day together with her reminding me every 20 seconds that the cd player is not working (after each time i try to fix it). then another woman walks in, and she promptly says "oh i can see that you gained weight." what a skank! then she goes on to reminded me again that the cd player is not working. so i switch the cd's around, and then i am so informed on how its just not loud enough "its okay mary", i say " i just need to turn the volume up." but no, thats not good enough for her. until i turn the volume up. I am then informed that i should quit blaming the problems on the CD, becuase its the CD player. until i switch out the cd's (becuase they were scratched) and moved the cd player off the floor. and low and behold, it works now. becuase this woman is gone. But not before she lets me know that cd players are cheap and i should get a new one.

oh, and how i am not a bright person for not being able to paralell park. seriously, that is what valet is for.

done deal?

So i've been driving my new car for a full 36 hours now. and i still haven't attached it to my key chain (or put my keys on the clicker.. you get the idea). I'm scared the second i do it they are going to call me back saying the whole deal fell through and i have no new car and a jeep without a transmission. Maybe becuase deep down i know i just screwed myself over for the next 6 years (6 year loan), or maybe my skull keychain is a reminder that my jeep died and certain death is looming over me.

On the other hand, if i do get the nerves to put the new key on the keychain, well.. then i look like a 12 y/o girl with 7 hundred keychains all linked together..

hmmm.

Wordless wednesday

I was going to join in with wordless wednesday blogs, but today, i cannot. I am WAY to reved up about how my company's payroll is treating me. While i made a personal vow not to divulge into my work to much (that just makes for getting dooce'd http://dooce.com/), i cannot hold it any longer. I am getting completely f'ed out of 600 bucks becuase they prey on the mistakes of new employees. So now begins the ever long battle of trying to get money back on taxes from NJ, of which i have never worked in.

So now i get to find a form from NJ to ask for the money back, and basically look like an Idiot for never noticing that they were taking out money for no reason. Direct deposit certainly has it's downfalls.

i need a drink

inconceivable!

know one of those people who uses words ALL THE TIME without really knowing the meaning?

Touche- –interjection
1.Fencing. (an expression used to indicate a hit or touch.)
2.(an expression used for acknowledging a telling remark or rejoinder.)

In fencing, touché (French: touched) is used as an acknowledgement of a hit, called out by the fencer who is hit. A referee can call out touché to refer to a touch being called - for example, the French call for "no point" is "pas de touche" (French: no touch).

The phrase touché is often used in popular culture and general conversation—for example, in an argument or debate. If one person presents an argument and another delivers a clever or apt response, the first person may respond with "touché" as a way of acknowledging a good response. Similarly, there is also a fencing move called a "riposte," which refers to "an offensive action with the intent of hitting one's opponent, made by the fencer who has just parried an attack" and in common lexicon is understood as a quick and witty reply to an argument or an insult.

The expression probably comes from the first blood duels, relatively common in the eighteenth century: during the duel touching the opponent with the tip of the sword was sufficient to win; when this would happen the loser would acknowledge the defeat yelling "touched" hence ending the fight.
